La Boutique - A passion for fashion at Emmaus!
The vintage clothing store has been the creation of French business students Charlotte, Charlene, Eva and Justine. Community Manager Lawrence Buckley explained the thinking behind the venture, "It was really an idea I had to try and untilise the expertise of our four female French student volunteers who are with us on a 3 month volunteer placement from La Rochelle in France. I wanted to be sure they had a project they could get their teeth into and about this time of year we collect clothes and other items from the university campus's. So, seeing as most young women of their age are into fashion and love clothes I thought this would be a great way of combining a passion for fashion and putting theory into practice with the learning from their courses in business at La Rochelle."
